I like people—their faces, personalities, contribution to society... For the many reasons I like people, there are as many reasons I collect stamps of people. Click on a stamp below to see a larger image.
Élisabeth Vigée-LeBrun I love 18th century French art. Élisabeth Vigée-LeBrun, known for her sophisticated, yet endearing style is one of my favorite artists. Not only was she Marie Antoinette's appointed painter, but also a female one at that. I first discovered her work at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and I've been captivated by her work ever since. This stamp displays one of her many self-portraits. |
